At Vorteq we know that in order to create the world’s fastest skinsuit, one size doesn’t truly fit all.
We apply computational draping technology in order to design bespoke custom-fitting skinsuits for each individual rider. The technology takes the 3D morphology of the rider, from the scanning stage, and allows the 2D patterns to be extracted from the surface of the 3D body. This ensures that the correct pattern shape is being used for the body profile of the rider.

We are therefore able to remove the need for multiple fitting and tailoring sessions, accommodating all body sizes and shapes. The process allows us to design and iterate through a multitude of different pattern layouts in order to determine the optimal placement for integrating our aero technology. We’re also able to import the specific fabric properties that will be used in the suit, so that the strain applied to the fabric can be visualised and optimised.
