Job Description:
Our mission is to support athletes with the ongoing pursuit of sports performance.
Vorteq is a TotalSim company and grows upon their experience as leaders in the world of performance sport aerodynamics. TotalSim have been lucky enough to work with some of the biggest names, including British Cycling, English Institute of Sport, Team Sky, Aston Martin, F1 teams and Bentley to name a few.
For the Tokyo Olympics, we supplied some of the top athletes and nations with the world’s fastest performance clothing, resulting from extensive research and development in aerodynamic sportswear. Looking ahead to the future, we will be continuing to innovate in the world of sports performance across different projects and developing new products.
Our team is vastly experienced in elite level aerodynamics. We are passionate about performance and providing an advantage to our customers.
We are looking for an experienced and talented Senior Engineer to join our team, leading on a range of projects and development programmes.
R&D:

Prepare and execute scientific tests with a high level of attention to detail.

Conduct wind tunnel testing on fabric samples, mannequins and athletes.

Produce concise and well-written technical reports.

Liaise and communicate with high-profile athletes, National Federations and external R&D teams.

Collaborate to create innovative solutions.

Have the ability to problem solve and create novel solutions.
Communication and Relationship
- Communicate effectively with other areas of the business.
- Liaise with internal and third-party specialists when required.
- Present research to the internal engineering team or clients.
Experience
- Minimum 2.1 degree in a STEM subject from a top university.
- The ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Competent in MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
- An interest in cycling or sport is highly desirable.
Must be eligible to work in the UK.
